just popped into a bar this afternoon and Lakers - Celtics finals was on...I was half excited, half panicked because I didn't realize the series already started... turns out they were replaying games from the 08 series. motherfuckers.

Agreed. He NEEDS to show up for the Lakers to win. Too bad his knee didn't look so good last series.
if Bynum is the key, that's bad news for the Lakers
post #1739 of 3285
Bynum is going to give them one or two good ones, same as always. His injuries are too much to be a constant provider.
bynum's hurt, no doubt. but the odd thing is that i don't think they need him as much against boston as they did against phoenix ... or rather, they don't need as much offensive output and defensive quickness ... don't forget, he'll be playing kendrick perkins, who is not exactly kareem. he's more like the second coming of ben wallace. bynum's loss of agility shouldn't be that big of a deal. gasol/kg might be a good matchup for the lakes ... garnet's been hurt and anyway, he's not the physical bully type that gives gasol the most trouble. i think artest/pierce will be key, but artest played him really well during hte regular season. i think they'll play kobe on rondo a lot more than others might imagine ... rondo's not a good jump shooter, so that'll free kobe to sag back in the middle and help out. fish and ray allen will be interesting. all in all, lots of good games within the games ... i'm really looking forward to it. and i don't know whether anyone else is feeling this way, but i'm kinda ready for the season to be over.
