Do you own sunglasses?

What is your perception of people who wear sunglasses?

How much would you spend on a pair of sunglasses?

What is your favourite retail outlet?

What do you use your sunglasses for?

Were they a worthwhile purchase?

Some people can pull off sunglasses. Others look like douches. If you wear them inside, then you're a douche. If you "take them off" in such a way that they're backwards on your head, then you're a douche. These are just two of many possible ways to look like a douche in sunglasses.

I'm attracted to sunglasses with less than a 1000% retail markup ($20 cost to retailer = $200 cost to consumer).

age... ha ha ha ... under 60...lol

sex... male

Occ... retired

Hoby... shopping, pistol shooting

do i own sunglasses... yes... many

Fav retailer... none

percep of people who wear SG.... fashionable, eye protection, stylish.

what do i use SG for.... Mine are prescription, so i will say too see, being stylish, and sun glare.

A worthwhile purchase... they seemed to be at the time, i have about 15 pairs, and now i use about 5 regularly.

If you're designing sunglasses i would say frame style... frame color... tint color... i like my tint to go from 40% at the top and 0% at the bottom. i like wafer style, aviators style, but not the oversize frames which look to big for my face/head. My tints... i have brown, black, and blue, so i would say the bottom line is the overall look of the glasses.

Of course mine are prescription so i use them too see/focus distance, but style (appearance) is most important, functional sun protection is least of my concern when purchasing sunglasses. Good Luck

Survey monkey is free.
You should put more thought into your questions/answers. These do not support the question of designing a new pair if sunglasses/ consumer attraction.

for someone supposedly doing a thesis on the topic, this is absurdly weak.

main reason for sunglasses: stare at T&A with impunity. Secondary reason: more socially acceptable than wearing a mask - allows me to avoid eye contact and feel anonymous. Tertiary reason: less squinting.

This. I can never understand what kind of professor would say it's alright to do your research on the internet, or God forbid, on a damn forum.

I have a pair of Prada stunners and let me tell you I treat those things like a newborn baby kitten. You won't care about something that's $10 or $20 but when you're looking at something that's $350 you make sure you've got them when you get up from the table at your local Houston's.

The main thing I like my sunglasses for is for my commute to work since there is so much glare in my face from all the reflection off cars and windows, plus I drive east in the morning. I also like to have them for fishing and hunting, and always go polarized. My favorite retailer would probably be Oakley. I definitely consider my sunglasses a worthwhile purchase.

Do you own sunglasses? yes 3 pairs
What is your perception of people who wear sunglasses? That they are smart protecting their eyes and I also look if they are a brand I recognise I like that

How much would you spend on a pair of sunglasses? it depends on the what they are if they are designer I would spend up to €300 but I would have to really really like them.

What is your favourite retail outlet? H&M

What do you use your sunglasses for? I have different sunglasses for different things. I have polarised sunglasses for driving. If I am shopping or just hanging out I have designer depending on what I am wearing!

Were they a worthwhile purchase? I most definitely think so they are an essential part of your wardrobe
