What is it about fall sunlight?

How come fall sunlight looks so....FALL-ish? Its much more subtle and golden and whatnot. And it makes things so damn photogenic. Why?

It's great for my Tartan plaid shirts. I love wearing them this time of year, the colors look great IMO.

The earth has begun to tilt on its axis, so sunlight is less direct and must travel through more atmosphere to reach you.

Yes, but you are all forgetting that it's eternally grey, dismal, and depressing here in seattle. There is no fall sunlight.

It's actually not that bad here in San Francisco because during the winter, all the plants turn green. This helps dampen what I used to experience in Chicago.
