thanks!

I am by no means a Boglioli expert and cannot elaborate on the brand too much, but I bought a casual herringbone jacket made by Boglioli (from VCH) and that has to be one of the best made jacket I have ever owned or seen. Pattern matching is absolutely perfect, fabric is beautiful, construction and details are incredible (tab collar, unique buttons), the fit is very close to the body and sleeves are very narrow (I actually had to go one size up from my regular jacket size).

EDIT: this is the jacket I got from Lance:

I saw their suits and less casual stuff at Bergdorf a couple weeks ago and although the styling was superb, the construction was partially fused (1/2 or 3/4 canvas?)

That Brooks jacket hardly looks like an appropriate substitute. It has that horrible 2-button/horse vent thing going on that American tailors seem to adore but that everyone else (rightly) shuns outside of equestrian or antique sporting gear. There's a reason the world standard jacket body configuration is the 3-button side vent with waist suppression. It just plain looks better than anything else.

It's very possible the jacket is Cantarelli as well.

Really?? They don't pin the jackets for a tailored appearance, otherwise it wouldn't look good. I can't think of one decently merchandised store that doesn't do this.
