MNF - Packers @ Vikings - Page 3

The list goes like this:

Manning (Peyton)
Brees
Brady (Only down here below Brees til he proves he's all the way back)
Rivers
Roethlisberger

There's a break here. The top 5 are clearly the top 5. Below this, things are murky. In no particular order, I'd place about 8 guys who are pretty interchangeable when healthy. Pick any 5 of these you like to round out my top-ten list:

Rodgers
Manning (Eli)
Warner
McNabb
Romo
Palmer
Schaub
Cutler

Then there are some very serviceable options below that tier that are capable NFL starting QBs, but they're not necessarily guys who can change a game consistently, or haven't yet quite proven themselves. Favre is in this group - adequate, even good, just maybe not in the top echelons yet (or anymore).

Favre
Hasselbeck
Ryan
Flacco

Nobody else is really worth commenting on.

This list is as of this very moment, e.g. who I'd want on my team right this very minute to win games the rest of this season.

Agree for the most part, except I'm a little higher on Warner than you are. See: his last game.

Matt Hasselbeck stats average per 16 games 3397 yards 21 TD's passing to 10 INT 290.71 completions in 481.71 attempts for a 60% completion rating Career 84.5 passer rating. (24th all time, by the way, ahead of Aikman, Kelly, Staubach, etc.) Not too shabby considering he had Darrell Jackson, Koren Robinson, DJ Hackett, Peter Warrick, Joe Jurevicius, Shaun Alexander, Bobby Engram, Itula Mili and Jerramy Stevens catching passes. (or not catching them, as the case more often was with most of these guys) Get a decent O-line, and he's money.
