Definitely.

Those are the kinds of pictures he needs to take for the website.

OMG. I AM going to get some like that. We are obviously on the same wavelength; that is what I was considering as my first order (only three eyelet instead).

Checked out Kow Hoo shoes in Prince's Building in HK today. For around $500 USD for bespoke shoes - last, hand welts, Italiant calfskin - excellent deal. Most of the samples are blobby but there were a few winners. Elegant lasts, designs, and sole treatments. My companion ordered a couple pairs. It seems if you know what you want, you'll be satisfied - the guiding principle of HK bespoke, really.

Really? All the shoes I saw in their store were pretty ugly with neither an English nor Italian aesthetic.

I agree almost all were terrible. Maybe three good looking ones. The best was a copy of a customer's Lobb William with a close cut, thin sole and an elongated, slightly squared toe. I am considering ordering a pair. I stand by my belief that HK bespoke requires an informed, obsessive client for good results. The second, at least, describes me well. it should be fun.

Okay, I finally ordered from Seok and Schubert shoes. I decided to try to have them copy this shoe. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I think it will be just the right thing to spice up my AE dominated shoe collection. Man it's going to be a long couple of weeks until these babies come in.

Keep us informed on how it works out for you as I am scoping the custom route myself, but I'm toying with the idea of drawing up a pair with some different features.

Tiger, the boots look great, but how's the fit with the self-measurement and all?

Thanks for the compliments guys. I've been putting it off, but I'm going to clean up the review and post it in one of the Schubert threads right now.
