When I go to the fitting in NY I'm going to ask if they can make something like this. What do you guys think of this shoe?

Update: I just bought these shoes from STP:

It's the Allen Edmonds Concord Monk strap. I already have this same shoe in black and I really love it so I figured I'd pick a pair up in brown too. They cost me $150 using a 20% off coupon.

Is the coupon still good? I could really use one.

Yeahh, I think you can still use it, but you have to sign up as a first time user.

The link is here:

http://www.sierratraditions.com/T1/

If you're not a first time customer just use a different e-mail address and it will send you the e-mail with the coupon to that address, then once you're on the site you can just use your old account when you put it in the shopping cart and go to check out and the coupon will be applied automatically (so long as you got to stp from the link in the e-mail).

Seok, how about two-toned wingtips/spectators (say, antiqued brown & ivory)? Think those would be achievable?
Thanks,
Stelios

would be achievable. i just put in an order myself of a 2-tone shoe, though mine was light brown and dark brown wingtip, Lobb-style. i should get mine within a week or so, so will let you know and post some photos.

Excellent! Those Kiton someone posted a while ago were just spectacular, I think I would love something close to those. Now, I need to decide which I want to try first, that or the boots

I've got my eyes on these Kiton-like kittens:

Can anybody say anything about the construction of Loake shoes. I know there's a lot of talk about the ones that are made for CT, but I have my eye on these right here:

They can be had from pediwear for about $200. Here's the link:

Loake William

Any thoughts?

Loake are a bit below C&J benchgrade, IIRC. As for that particular one, I prefer punched details as large as that one on wholecuts. The punching comes too close to the vamp/quarter seam for my taste.

Seok, it's next week now
