Opinion on Sprint Hero

Does anyone have any information/opinion about this phone?

It will be released on Oct 11th and I have viewed the reviews on phonedog and the like, but has anyone seen one IRL? I know the GSM version is out and it is basically the same phone but using cdma and no chin.

It comes down to iphone vs hero since my current phone is about to die. pros/cons?

hero has the better ui imo..and has been speed optimized by htc as compared to the gsm hero. Multi-touch and flash are on it as well, along with the ability to root. Basically, the iphone is a simpler and easier experience with a lot of polish, while the hero is rougher around the edges but no less capable. I used an iphone for a while, but I'd go with the hero. Android is new and exciting, and not tied down to apple's ecosystem.
