Follow up call after interview?

Thread Starter
I had an interview last wednesday for an internship at a small banking firm. I spoke with two associates, one who said he would be interviewing individuals through the rest of the week and tuesday, although he did nto sound too sure. And another associate who said I'd get back to before the end of the week.

Before I left the first associate said "I did good" which im not sure if I should take as a sign or if he states it generally.

I sent a thank you email on thursday, and being monday what would be the appropriate time to call back, and how should i state the question of "Am i being hired as an intern?" I was thinking sometime around 4pm Tuesday.

Any opinions would be helpful!

I'd say wait to call until around a week after the last person was interviewed. Being annoying won't help your chances, and a call won't magically put you over the top.

It doesn't have to be an in-your-face message either... you could send a quick email to the interviewers just saying "Thanks again for taking the time to meet with me, I enjoyed learning more about your business and am excited at the opportunity to become part of the team. I look forward to talking to you soon!"

I've always preferred sending thank you letters via US mail rather than email.
