another sore topic for me: old cadillacs. I hate how enormous they are, they look so stupid. sorry to offend anyone. on a different note, I would take a new CTS-V in a heartbeat :-)

Well I'm not offended at all .....but how can you not love the absurdity of those old cars -- they're all about style at a time when the USA really was the country everyone else wanted to be like.

NOW we're talking! This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I've been in love with Cadillacs since I was about 3-4 years old.

Currently I drive a black '06 CTS

Over the weekend I test drove the next victim.

(though I hope to see the coupe before the time comes to purchase.)

and one day this.

I don't plan on driving anything other than Caddys for the rest of my days if I can avoid it.

I agree. I have not had a chance to drive the CTS-V yet but have driven the Jaguar XFR. It's my understanding the CTS-V is even faster. Thats just insane speed for 4 door sedans.

I agree. Came off my HD, I think I pulled it down from AAAC Trad forum (sack suit, rep tie, button down, penny loafers). The tags on the pic make me think it might be from the 1954 film Sabrina though. However, I've now found out that it's a 1953 Nash-Healey, not a Cad. CadFAIL. I swear that looks like the Cad emblem in the grill.

it's got a (slightly detuned) corvette engine in it and was developed at the nuremberg ring. I've driven it, and, well, its a lot more fun than comparable sport sedans(including the M5). Honestly, I would probably never buy a GM car save for a Corvette ZR1. The only reason I wouldn't buy a CTS-V is because i'm not exactly in the market for a big four door saloon car, even one as great as this.

MUCH faster. it's a ZR-1 engine in a far more user friendly package.

the first gen cars had ~400hp and 395 lb/ft torque and they were fast.

the new ones get 556hp and 550lb/ft. torque for around the same $$$. it's a BEAST.

according to the rags, the CTS-V Coupe should be out around the same time as the reg coupe this summer. I think i may have to wait.
