I think these came out a few months ago. I do a lot of traveling (on planes for hours and hours) and am beginning to get burned out on my ipod headphones.

anyone try them? I searched a little on the forum and found that in general, people here don't care for bose, but I was curious if this new product is being welcomed or not.

thanks guys and gals...

They are amazing, they take that general fuzzy feeling from the constant drone of the engines away.

I haven't listed to them but people don't like bose because they put more money into marketing than the R&D and production of quality products. There's a headphones thread on here if you search and there are many better options in it. For planes you might like the ones that go directly into your ear canal, as they are the best for blocking out external noise imo.

For the love of a deity of your choice, why would you contemplate buying anything that says BLOSE on it ?

My friend has some. I haven't tried actually listening to any music through them, but the noise cancelling is impressive and would indeed be great on a plane journey...though I have no idea how long the batteries will last.

As for sound quality, well if you're listening to a portable CD or MP3 player, who gives a shit? None of them are exactly the last word in audiophile quality, and when you're in noisy environments anyway, Bose will do just fine. That said, I think it's ridiculous that anyone pays $$$ for a car sound system, given that I'm a musician and the interior of a vehicle, without exception, has poxy acoustic properties.

thanks guys...

I go to europe a lot, and I'm just tired of screaming babies ...

I'm definitely not an audiophile, but I've read some pretty good things about the new quietcomfort 15's...

I'll pick them up tomorrow before my long flight to Spain...

I'll give a small review once I get over there...

I'm starting to like this forum!
