Need advice on white shirt

Thread Starter
This may sound like a dumb question, but I'm honestly having trouble.

Who makes a standard white dress shirt that can be worn with the collar open in a more casual setting?

It seems like so often when I want to wear one under a sport coat, or on it's own in the evening, or with jeans, the collar is so stiff it just doesn't look right.

Oh, and can anyone recommend someone who makes such a shirt that I can find without spending $200?

I like the white herringbone from FIH ties. And Jantzen.

I picked up a Murano Gold Label white dress shirt at Dillards recently for $54.

It's a spread collar, good looking material and seems to work equally well with a tie or as an open collar.

I suppose you could call me an ex-trad....but it is hard to beat a button down for open neck wear. Particularly some of the Napoli makers with a real nice roll.

Spend some time on Ebay.

Well, find one with a softer collar. Another trick is to go a half size down in the neck if it is meant to be unbuttoned.
