British Humo(u)r

I hadn't seen Mitchell & Webb until someone posted a link the other day. I wonder what else I might be missing. Post anything I should check out.

I love Monty Python, Fast Show, and That Mitchell & Webb Look, although the M&W Situation one, I didn't think was quite as funny. I'm sure there are other shows I'm forgetting, but I wanted to at least start the thread while I'm thinking about it.

Suggestions?

The british version of The Office is pretty good.

I recently started watching "A Bit of Fry and Laurie", definitely one of my favorite British comedy.

I've got the complete collection of Fawlty Towers on DVD (3 disc set-excellent condition). I would be happy to sell it for a reasonable price. Also episodes 7-13 of Monty Python's Flying Circus (DVD set-excellent condition). PM me if interested.

Black Adder was the funniest by far... Apart from that John Cleese is also quite funny...(here's a famous sketch, you may know already, with those two grand-masters of comedy)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGFz9gt0-Fc

This was the clip I saw in another thread that got me watching them: They're also in Peep Show, a series I'm not too into, though I have some friends who love it. I prefer sketch comedy to something I have to watch a bunch of to get to know why it's funny.

"Are You Being Served" was my favorite show when I was, like, 11. It is something of a sex farce set in a department store, so I don't know what that tells you. "Allo, Allo" set in wartime France is hilarious and farcical. "Chef!" had a short run but is awesome especially if you like food/kitchens/chef drama. And dude, if you don't already watch "TopGear" I've no idea what to tell you. The best car show on earth. And hilarious! ~ H
