So many depressing vibes coming from certain mid-life-crisisers these days. Maybe this thread will help inspire them to change their lives. When I was a kid (and actually on into university), these are the various thing I wanted to be (with first approx. age of that idea in brackets): -Train engineer/driver (earliest memories); -Deep sea diver (really a marine biologist, but I didn't know the term; 5); -Around the same time, artist (painter I guess); -Archaeologist/Egyptologist (11); -Graphic designer (15); -Clinical psychologist (19); -I/O psychologist (20); -Human factors psychologist (21); -Lawyer (23, as soon as I realized I hated doing research in uni); [This is about the point that I graduated and got a real job, totally unrelated field not mentioned here.] -Evolutionary psychologist (after I graduated, realized it was the class I'd really enjoyed. Very fleeting thought though); -Doctor (25, as soon as I realized I needed something where I could work with science, people, my hands, and still dress somewhat well and order people around). I am stuck somewhere between saying "fuck it" and trying to get good at what I do now, to become a big-timer and travel the world, and applying to med school.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
