In the realm of mixology, I've always been partial to the Sazerac.

I like Newcastle, I've tried a bunch of other interesting wheat beers and hefeweizens and I like some of them, Paulaner is pretty good as well.

Tonight I went back to my old standbys; in the absence of imported russian vodkas, I tend to go with Ketel and various mixers. I started with a Ketel/RB and moved on to Ketel/Cranberry as the night went on.

I guess not living in New Orleans might be a factor, but I have never seen a bar that stocked Peychaud's bitters, American rye whiskey, and Herbsaint (or even Pernod). The closest I've come to having one is the old-fashioneds I make at home with Jim Beam rye whiskey (sad, but pretty much the only American rye I can find) and Peychaud's bitters, but I just won't spring on a bottle of Herbsaint/Pernod solely for the purpose of personal experimentation.

I ordered a triple neat Oban the other night... i suppose coming across a bar with decent scotch made me forget how little i'm earning now that i'm back at uni. Ah well, i enjoyed the drink immensely.

For an excellent American wheat beer, try Oberon Ale, which is made by Bell's Brewery.

Well said. I also enjoy Caipirinhas and Mojitos. Although I'm generally not one for the club scene.

Anything with Bailey's in it... yum!
Otherwise the classical drinks are vodka/red bull, whisky/coke, champagne after a while...

This sounds really disgusting but 50/50 Louis Roederer Cristal, Hpntiq.
And off course, a Churchill, not that famous as it should be, try it!

Sidecar is my drink of choice. Not many places make a good one, though. As a matter of fact, it has become my barman test when I try a new place out.

There are different ways to do it, my favorite is with cognac, contreau, and lemon juice. other substitutes are brandy instead of cognac, and triple sec instead of contreau.

Anywhere I am - martini bianco. Just can't get enough of it. It's orgasmic.

Jack n Coke!! Nothing else does it for me. Not sophisticated enough for some but undoubtedly the undisputed "Man's Drink"!!

I drink very little, these days . . . mostly wine. But my favorite drink by far, is a vodka martini. Like very, delicious iced water. But better.
