What drinks do you guys order at clubs? - Page 3

I had no idea it was called this. I'm not sure it sounds any better for me.

In a club, particularly a crowded one, I keep it simple: Maker's Mark. Neat.

A quiet bar offers a much more expansive range of possibilities, which, of course, depend upon the hour of the day.

I almost always go for Gin & Tonic first. Like j said, its hard to mess up.

I usually ask for Tanqueray.. it generally costs about $.50 or $1 more

To sip: Bailey's or Kaluha on the rocks; A brandy Manhattan is hard to beat if one is careful; Summertime definitely calls for Margarita on the rocks.

I thought this was a Nantucket red, at least that's what we called them on Nantucket. Perhaps the Cape Codders call them Cape Codders on the continent.

Oh, and gin & tonics, martinis, and cognac neat for me.

I don't do shots.

Although scotch is generally my drink of choice; at clubs i usually have gin and tonic, Bombay Sapphire if they have it. Most clubs that i have been to in Sydney don't have a very good selection of higher end spirits, the best scotch available would be Glenfiddich or Johnny Walker Black, very hard to find Tanqueray / Bombay Sapphire, etc etc.

Double J&B on the rocks. Not that I've ever been to a club...

Well, hell, it's "Nantucket Red" which sounds far better than what I've been saying (then I'll just whisper in the bartender's ear: "it's cranberry, vodka, and a twist of lime").

It's called the "Cape Codder" here as well although I never hear anyone say that in a club. Usually it's easier just to specify the ingredients since most club drinks tend to be 3 ingredients or less.

I go for a vodka, cran, and water if not a beer.

It seems that only people who don't live in Manitoba actually drink that stuff. Maybe because us Manitobans have to endure the stench of the stuff being brewed while we head to the beach. It's a bit of a turn off.

Alberta Springs + Ginger ale is great. It has the smoothness of Crown, but I find the flavor to be a little better. Unless you get the premium Crown, then you are in flavor country and shouldn't be mixing it.

Cran and Vodka, or Gin and Tonic are good stand by drinks.

Shots... Tequilla... no fruit or salt, or Godfathers (Amaretto and scotch, they are either martini's or shots so be specific)

If I'm out with the wife, it's always something fruity so we can share.

If out with the gents, it's usually

Beer
Sprite & Grey Goose (ridiculous perhaps but tasty)
G&T

almost always beer for me.

I go to clubs quite often, but I don't drink likker so I usually get a couple bottles of water during the nite, maybe a coke if I am feeling dangerous. My gf likes Blue Malibu's or a Midori Sour
