Hey guys,

I want to present some special products that we've developed with Long Island's Wm. J. Mills & Co. If you're not familiar with them, they're a small family business that's been making sailcloth since the late 1800's, and sailcloth bags since the 50's.

Each bag is cut by machine and assembled by hand in their Greenport, NY workshop. They're lightweight, machine washable, and last FOREVER. For our first collaboration with them (and their first collaboration with anyone), we created the "Black Collection" - a modern take on the classic Mills shapes and a versatile color palette that can be used year-round.

Here's the bags below. US shipping is free, and each one includes a lifetime warranty. These colorways are all exclusive to Epaulet. If you need a lightweight, rugged, and unique bag, then look no further!

And stay tuned, we're working on some new shapes - including a great duffel bag - for later in the season.

Looks really nice! I was looking for a nice black canvas messenger bag, but I'm wandering if I should just purchase this instead. Do you think it would look good for a college student?

I think it would look fine on college; it might not hold everything you need though.

Sure, I think it would look great. This bag is really easy to carry, and the ability to use it as either a briefcase or across-the-chest messenger is great. It's good for bicycling too. I wash mine about once a month.

As Biscotti pointed out, you just have to consider what capacity you need. The Canvas Briefcase measures 14" long x 4.5" wide x 11.5" deep. It's big enough to fit my big-ass, oversized Dell laptop. When I was in school, I used a Manhattan Portage bag which was about the same size, but I don't know how many books you need to tote around.
