Enough of Conne's BS. Just picked up the 'Brentford Trilogy' (Impossible Bird, Dig my Mood, The Convincer), and am enjoying immensely. Let's here it for the Jesus of Cool!

I'm a big fan of "Nick the Knife". My favorite Lowe album is Jesus of Cool, unfortunately renamed Pure Pop for Now People for sensitive American buyers.

I once heard him on a broadcast concert back in the early '80s celebrating Elvis Presley's death by saying in his inimitable Welsh accent, "Today is the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. Ya' know, if it weren't for Elvis, we wouldn't have bands like {pregnant pause} Kansas, Styx, Foreigner and Journey."

There may not be anyone cooler And, Johnny Cash was his Father-in-law! Brinsley, Rockpile, early, late, it doesn't matter - he is a (rock) pop genius....
