Anyone know where I can find a Guide Work Jacket in Blackwatch, sz. M?

Anyone know where to get some kind of organizer or partitioner for the large duffle?? I'm about to go on few week Euro trip with a large duffle, and while I like the duffle, I'd also like for it to have some more organization and structure.

Maxpedition makes some pretty good organizers that'll work for everything from pockets up to duffels. You won't find anything approaching the classic style of filson, but they'll get the job done and take a lot of abuse.

Unionmade used to but I'm not sure anymore. I'm guessing you want to compare sizing between Filson and Gustin right? I own a Filson tin cloth short cruiser and wear a large just like my G trucker. The short cruiser is a little roomier and works for layering, whereas, the G trucker not so much. The Filson Seattle fit is kinda weird though. For their short cruiser I'm true to size but for the Cascade shirt I had to go down a size to a medium

ended up going to a place to try the Filson on for sizing, and they had them on sale for $125 so I picked one up

I like the fit and style of the Filson, its a little baggy with just a t shirt on underneath so I can't wear it like that, but it fits near perfect with a hoodie or some type of layer underneath so I will be wearing it strictly when layering

you say the Gustin can't layer at all? only a t shirt fits underneath it? what about a button down shirt?

I can layer with my Filson, but not my G trucker. That is to say, I can comfortably wear a hoodie/sweatshirt under the Filson but only a t-shirt or button up shirt with the G trucker

I'm assuming the jacket you picked up was the soy wax short cruiser right? It's the lined version and is much thinner than the tin cloth version

nope, the one i got was this

http://www.filson.com/products/short-cruiser-jacket.10410.html?fromCat=true&fvalsProduct=mens/coats-jackets&fmetaProduct=1011/

is your FIlson too baggy to wear with no layering at all, i.e. just a t shirt underneath?

lastly, at the store there was only one left in my size and compared to the other ones the store had in stock it is much darker almost like a brown, as opposed to the other sizes which were much more tan/caramel......what is the reason for this? overwaxing? if I don't wax it will the color eventually go back to the caramel? either way I'm happy with my purchase because of the price, but I would prefer the rich caramel color.

$125 is a steal for that jacket. I paid $195 for mine on sale. Is yours waxed?

As to the color, I wouldn't worry about it. You won't need to re wax it anytime soon and I think the pics you see on the Internet are slightly misleading. Mine is also a lighter color.

And no, I don't really find it too baggy. Long in the sleeves but not overly baggy

ya mine is waxed, almost too heavily imo, which maybe caused the shade of my jackets color to darken

my actual jacket is much darker than the pics online, not lighter than the pics online

its more like Gustins dark oak, as opposed to Gustins regular brown

but for the price I paid i was happy, i could probably make money on it if i resold it lol

does the short cruiser or levis x Filson come in an extra small at all
post #748 of 749

is it possible to have a tailor taper the sleeves of a Filson short cruiser jacket?

also i have no way of trying on a wilson x levis trucker without ordering one on eBay first, and thats pretty costly for it not to fit right

does anyone know if the levis collab has much slimmer sleeves than the Filson seattle cruiser?
