Highly recommend it. Makes the bag more comfortable to hold when using the handles. Also keeps the handles in place and prevents them from flopping around when using the shoulder strap.

I have been eying the tin cruiser jacket for a while, but haven't been able to get to a store to try it on. Does anyone know how it fits. I find most Filson jackets to be pretty boxy. Unlike many of the others it's available in actual sizes (38 - 50) so I am hopping it is a little more fitted than just L or XL. Anyone know?

that is a 36. it was actually slightly too big but after i washed it, it shrunk a bit and now is slim and perfect. i wear a small pretty much in every brand across the board.

Interesting idea. I'm normally a 40, but I always size down to a 38 w/ Filson. I assume you did a cold wash and hang dry?

actually it was risky ... my gf did my laundry and after asking her about it she told me she just did it like normal. normal colored wash (not delicate) and tumble dry (again normal).

i live in the dorms so the washer/dryers are in between on the decent to doodoo scale.

FINALLY got my bag back from filson ...

handle is MONEY ... sad it didnt come with it straight out of the box. its a must have addition and for only 20 bucks its perfect!
