Question for you guys with bags: Is your bag shaped perfectly still? The question is kind of broad and vague. I have a thin briefcase that I have been using for about a year. It is tough as nails and gets the job done, but I noticed the shape is not a perfect rectangle...the bag kind of tits to one side when erected. Just curious to see if I'm alone here. Thanks.

I don't have a briefcase but my backpack and satchel are still symmetrical and maintain their shape.  Though, that being said, they're only barely worn in and are still fairly rigid.

Any plans on making watch straps?

What I like about the idea is that it makes a tough cover while traveling which protects all corners of the device, plus it just looks great -- and I can just take the device out of the cover when using it, making it more lightweight to read on.
Anyone with that small bible cover and a Kindle (the Kindle 4, Touch, or Paperwhite) that would be willing to share a photo or two of how it fits inside?
Thanks!

No one with a small Bible cover and a Kindle that could post a photo? Maybe these covers aren't that popular, but I thought I'd ask again just in case my original question was lost in the discussion about the Thin Briefcase. smile.gif

Thanks!

Hey, I know it's a long time since you posted these pictures, but I wanted to say thanks!  My biggest gripe with Saddleback bags is that it's impossible to find comparison-perspective photos of their products.  I have the medium thin briefcase, but could never get a handle on how it compared to the classic medium briefcase until I found your photos...fantastic photos!  Also, I appreciate seeing them on a live human for size-perspective!  I wish these were linked on Saddleback's sight for reference purposes.

Big kudos to the customer service department at Saddleback! One of the D-rings on my thin briefcase snapped, so I shot them an e-mail about it. Very fast and very polite response, and all the information I needed to send it in for a return. They covered all shipping expenses to and from Norway (which is ridiculously expensive), no questions asked. They really initiated all efforts to remedy this admittedly quite minor problem, and really made me feel valued as a customer. 100 year warranty with this kind of service, now that's something.

Their products look really great. I will be placing an order soon, but am in the research phase right now.

Specifically, those with the belts, please post more pictures - They look great and I am looking for a nice belt to be worn with jeans - Belt color dark brown + a lighter brown.

Bonus points if you can compare one of the belts with Allen Edmonds Walnut shoes.

Just an FYI- if you're inclined, to get a perfect match of the AE strand in walnut, the Tandy leather company dye called Prarie Tan is an exact match.  Not to take anything away from saddleback (because I love their stuff), but if they don't have an exact match you can easily make your own.

Hi guys, I have a question about leather conditioner for your saddleback bag.  The conditioner they use is called Chamberlain's Leather Milk.  It seems like good stuff, but i have a problem with the fact that they use whale oil in their product.  does anone have a good whale oil free conditioner for the saddleback bag?

i use Obenauf's HDLP on my Wolverine 1,000 mile boots, it's amazing stuff, but darkens the leather.  I was thinking of using it on my bag, but it seems too heavy duty and i don't want to darken my bag.

thoughts?

When it's time to condition my Thin Briefcase I'm going to use Saphir Leather Lotion.  It's basically a lighter version of Saphir Renovateur.

Just got my Large Chestnut Briefcase today. I can't begin to express my level of "excitedness" over this bag. It is truly one of the nicest briefcases I have ever seen. It is very durable, I can already tell. I think the large was the correct size. The medium would have been about the same size as my previous bag, and I think the extra large would have been to large. I haven't done anything to treat the leather yet. I will do that after a week or so of carrying, so I can identify where the cracks and wrinkles may occur. Here are a few pics.

I am most excited about this bag because of it's versatility. This is a bag that can be taken on safari, hiking, in the outback, to college, to Wall Street, or to the County Courthouse, which is where I will take it everyday. Very nice!!!

Congrats! That Chestnut looks amazing.

I am thinking about removing the 2 side pockets since I don't use them. Anyone ever try that?

probably not a good idea.

I think it's stitched directly to all the other leather pieces.
