That I don't care what you think doesn't necessarily mean I won't hold you accountable.
I just want you to admit your comment was false. Or actually show some proof. Your choice.

Alright, boys, knock it off and talk about pot-boilers or else you'll get a good spanking.

Rach what was the process for finding a literary agent? I've been considering making the jump into writing. I have like six or seven ideas for novels. However I'm honestly more interested in movies than I am in books.

Surprised John Grishman hasn't come up yet

It's a different process for everybody, but it can be/is a pain. I wouldn't approach an agent cold with just "ideas" for books, unless you've published elsewhere or have something marketable that would sell already (like, ru a Kennedy or something?) I'd write a book or two first, so you have something to show them. I was lucky in that I found a good one quite soon who liked the book I wrote, but generally there is a lot of rejection until you find a good fit. Then there's a lot MORE rejection after you get an agent and start shopping it around to editors/publishers. Do a little research first to see who the authors you like (or who write similar stories/books as you) and who represents them. It makes the process easier if you find agents who like your kind of stories. SO, if you write Science Fiction, don't send an agent to a person who usually does non-fiction biographies. They will probably reject you.
