i thought of getting a crumpler 8 million dollar home in brown because i like the color scheme (light blue interior) but now i'm having second thoughts. will have to visit the camera store soon.

Consider just getting inserts and sticking them in your favourite bag. It depends on how much stuff you gotta lug around.

I bought a National Geographic camera bag once. I hate how it says Nat Geo on it but it's a pretty good bag in terms of pockets and accessibility.

i'm going to skip it for now. i want something that doesn't look like a camera bag, that isn't made of cheesy fabric, and doesn't cost a zillion dollars. i'll have to rough it until i find something perfect.

yfyf, i may just take your advice and look for a nice soft leather messenger bag and put some inserts in it. have you seen examples of this?

Examples of a nice soft messenger bag? Or examples of inserts? For inserts, this isn't bad:

I just re-used one from another camera bag I had.

Soft leather messenger, I don't know. Haven't looked for a messenger bag in a long time :/

i'm looking for something to hold 2 full-frame slr and 3 lenses, with hoods. now i'm looking at this: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...u=75512&is=REG probably the opposite of a soft leather messenger bag but looks practical.

Pelicans are for storage. You seriously think you're going to carry this thing around with you?

+1. It's good for storage or shipping your goods. Even then, I'd visit the local Home Depot and find the same thing for half the price.

I have a couple of Lowepro camera bags and they've done the job satisfactorily. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one should the need arises.

So, you need to carry around two pro-sized SLR and three lenses with hoods, and you can't find a camera bag?

+1 for Lowepro, though they do look like camera bags.

I have a Lowepro slingshot. Not bad, though IIRC even the largest is probably too small for what you're looking for.

Not the most comfortable or stylish, but convenient access to the camera and the build in rain cover came in handy for me recently.

I'm lovin' my Billingham Hadley.

I always just used the cheapy Canon backpack as it did the job great for way less than most. But I didn't care about looks or protection.
