I'm interested in one of the uniqlo tweed jackets in 44R if anyone can proxy this for me, I'll be willing to pay a decent proxy fee, PM me if you're interested.

more Uniqlo tweed jackets are coming in? I was in the SoHo store and was told they sold out immediately, but production was ceased. Idk why Uniqlo wouldn't get another shipment in of such a great selling item?

I tried 2 weeks ago to get one of these jackets in 40R. I guess this was probably a big mistake waiting as that size probably sold out first. But they definitely told me there would be no more of these coming. So, if anyone has a 40R I WTB as well.

FWIW Gap has a grey herringbone tweed jacket for $98. It doesn't quite have that tailored look of the Uniqlo and I suspect the quality is a bit less but...there it is.

Are you talking about the "wool homespun" jacket? (The one that GQ endorsed). I was in the NYC store a couple weeks ago, and they were in plentiful stock. Maybe they stopped production to make room for the Jil Sander collaboration? (Which includes a peak lapel, tweed blazer)

Well, GQ did, in fact, endorse the jacket of which the OP speaks - but it clearly said it was Tweed, idk about "wool homespun." I was in Uniqlo a few weeks ago they emphasized no more would be coming in. I tried on one jacket that bore a slight resemblence to it, but an associate there conceded it was not as nice as the tweed jacket when I posed the question.

You might be right about the "wool homespun" being different from the tweed jacket the OP is talking about.

I did ask the cashier if they the store was having trouble keeping the homespun jacket in stock. She confirmed this, and said they sold out of another jacket that similar to it too. I think the GQ tweed had a herringbone pattern, and the homespun has more of a nailhead or birdseye pattern.
