I prefer the garage sound of Boys Don't Cry and the remixes on Mixed Up more than the rest of the stuff. They do their best at the extremes.

They have enjoyed remarkable staying power IMO. I saw them on springbreak, 22 years ago. A huge concert on the beach. It was pretty cool, but IMO, their asthetic doesn't fit too well on a Florida beach.
