need to get a decent pants

Hi I got this jacket about an year ago, and I need to get a suit for my hockey game. So, I am just looking for a pants that i can match with my jacket, but it seems like really hard to do. I just dont really want to get a suit cuz i am a highschool student, no need to spend my money on a suit .... So my qeustion is if i wanna get a pants that i can match with my jacket should i get same color or other colors ?

Pants ought to be a noticeably different color, but you say you "need" a suit and the jacket looks as though you have outgrown it. Your location is unknown, but there ought to be a local retailer that sells cheap suits.

Find a thrifted suit, get the basic alterations done (sleeves/hem), and you're good for <$50. Besides, you're going to start going to events that require a suit: funerals, weddings, interviews, etc.

The jacket is way too small - start again at some cheap shop.
