I think I'll watch a few episodes of Rubicon. I also watch breaking bad (nearly finished the third season). Recently (2010) saw: Lost, sons of anarchy, prison break season 1 (no point in watching season 2 though), Pigalle la nuit, Braquo, in treatment (this one is amazing). Other recent series I saw in the last few yrs: Sopranos, Skins (only like 1-2, stopped quickly after that), the wire, the shield, mad men (stopped after season 1), arrested development, gossip girl Not too sure what to watch next, I think Pio likes the same stuff as I do so if he's go suggestions I'm all ears.

I watched the premier of gossip girl since I watched the finale after reading on SF that chuck got shot...have not watched episode 2 and probably won't (the first sucked and yet I am oddly enticed)

Watching:
Chuck
2.5 Men
Big Bang Theory
Castle
30 Rock

Fence:
How I Met Your Mother (it picked up at the end of last season...I figure even if I don't stay caught up on it, I will end up watching every episode as long as it ends soon)
Californication (I managed to watch the entourage suck-fest this season...can this be any worse)
Weeds

Drop:
Glee (I might get around to the premier...but god damn--I have never seen a show fall to pieces so fast)

Not really, most tv series I watch a pure fluff and "genre" in the sense that they play on well-recognized archetypes and situations. Even the well-written breaking bad is from that mold with the kooky, vulgar lawyer and the nerdy chemists. I love mangas aimed at teen girls which you might find to be closely related to gossip girl. Meanwhile I'm reading some Eric Marty book on Jean Genet that is primarily aimed at what you'd call "pretentious intellectuals and their undecipherable language.". Oh yeah I also saw Rome season 1 but gave up on season 2 (boooooorrrrriiiiinnnngggg!).

I'm about ready to give up on How I Met Your Mother as well. Show is just so repetitive and boring the past season or so. The new season is no exception.

I'll still watch it on the DVR while eating dinner or something later in the week. But you're right, it's becoming more than predictable.
