I really like it, but it is fairly sophisticated, and I think people who are quite put off by the animalic element aren't going to recognize the drydown as a silver lining. As one of those who DO like it, I apply fairly sparingly! Don't want to see people turning up their noses as I walk by!
Barneys now sells MKK now as they tend to bring over a couple of the (previously) exclusive Lutens scents every year so I'll stop by and get a sample. I'm not sure if I'll be able t wear it for a week without freaking some people out. I remember last summer a couple got up and changed their seats on public transportation while I was wearing one of the Montale Ouds and I kind of felt bad. ( I don't think I was wearing an excessive amount and I don't the couple in question realized where the smell was coming from.)

Eww. It reminds me of a dog that's been hosed off and left to air dry.
If you must try it, order a sample decant from theperfumedcourt.com. I've tried to like it but it's just not good on me.
For comparison, I also dislike M7 and A*Men, two other popular ones.

I've walked by Kiehls displays a million times without trying on their colognes. I decided to try on the Musk the other day, and it reminded me of both my grandfathers, one of my uncles, and just about every classic barbershop I've ever stepped into. Was it nostalgic? Powerfully! Is it something that I want to smell like at my age? No, but someday - yes.
