Can't say with certainty, but if they JUST got there and remain there for more than three weeks or so, they'll probably dip 'em down to $69—but after that, if they don't move, they'll just get 'em outta there pronto. The problem IS, if they've already been there a while and they haven't already reduced 'em (Mine were $79), they may just opt to ship 'em out quick someplace else where they'll be sold at cost or perhaps a slight loss to BCF so they don't keep spending money on inventorying and re-inventorying 'em. You may have to resort to tucking 'em away in a less-viewed spot to stave off the vultures nabbing 'em first. I've only done that ONCE with a pair of AEs I spotted at a BCF—a pair of gorgeous Bleecker Streets that I stashed on a lower shelf where they DON'T keep the boots to take 'em off the top, eye-level rack. I know...“boo...hiss” me. :(

With that, the Sands' are super-comfy walking shoes. Gonna baby these a bit as they can't be recrafted.

Thanks! Good advice. I think they just got there. Sands is a good looking shoe.

Hello guys, I'm currently looking to purchase a slim sleek dress boot for the coming winter months and I'm curious as to how slim the Daltons are. I recently purchased Jack Erwin Carter boot and sent it back because of the color and how bulky it felt. If not the Daltons are there any other suggestions? I'm looking for a kind of deep ox blood/burgundy color.

I love my Daltons, and I don't think they are particularly wide boot, but I would not call them sleek. As the leather on the boot naturally stretched, I wish I had a narrower shoe, but that really depends on your foot. I wear a D-width, but don't have a particularly full foot.

That said, I get tons of positive comments about them.

Awesome, thanks. I think I'll be purchasing a pair when the annual sale happens.

I'll be wearing these boots with mostly Black and Indigo denim, I really want a universal pair of boots that I can wear with most colors. I was thinking the Dark Chili or Burgundy color might be able to work out. What do you guys think?

Reflecting on this and reviewing my own thought, I realize that my bals are always"sleeker" than my bluchers. Is this not a truth, conventional wisdom, or actually the way things are? Thinking about construction, it seems like a reasonable enough rule of thumb.

Amazingly enough I do not know when the next official sale is- Is the labor day sale over? finally I got the $50 catalogue discount.

Just got my catalog and the Sturgis 2 looks really great - lots of nice stuff in there and photography has gotten better - the first ave boot ave boot in their pictures makes the toe seem more rounded than the real pictures we have seen.

The kudu loafer looks nice - as does the grain Macneil 2.0 ...Franciscan photos look way better also

The next sale on firsts should be coming up soon. When I was talking to my SA in August she told me the dates but I don't recall them at this time. I am looking to make one more purchase during the sale and then I need to hold off for a while.

Hey bud,
I saw these at my BCF today. I don't "need" them, and they fall into the "want" category. They were priced at $89. How long before they drop in price?

I had a discussion with a BCF manager about the pricing. He said the shoes arrives already priced and they place them on the shelf. He said they did not make any decision to mark the shoes down further for a close out. This instruction comes from the corporate office. Corporate will send an order once per month, give a SKU number and any new prices. He said this is more likely to be a seasonal decision. Sandles, for example, will not sell well in winter and would be reduced. Year round styles would not. Finally, he said the only price reduction decisions on merchandise made at the local level is on damaged products.
