Corporation's growing. I asked for something I can wear with gray or blue. This chili McA will fit the bill nicely. Kinda pissed I didn't get my shoehorn, though.

So, LE, would you say that the Harrison is not the best choice for someone with a low instep/flat foot? There's a pair in my size on the shoebank that I have been resisting. the recent pics had me about to pull the trigger, but your post has me rethinking now.
I wouldn't say that. The Harrisons have a tad more room on the instep compared to the Park Aves. They fit my feet very similarly to csmitty's... Source: http://www.styleforum.net/t/141581/allen-edmonds-appreciation-thread/56670_30#post_7735351
Kicking myself for sending those back. That's one I would by again. I keep looking. But alas. Those are both 12Ds. Got the PA before I dialed in my 65 last. Which is 11.5D. But good for comparison.

I size the same in a Park Ave.( 65 last ) as the 333, it seems like it's built heavily on the 65 last just with a longer toe. I'm gonna grab a pair of 333 captoes whenever I can get them without having to go MTO (highly unneccesary $$$)

First day in the Chili Universities. I "noticed" them more than the Harrisons, but they were comfortable; more so than the Dalton or Longbranch boots, (to be expected?). I didn't think the softer Independence leather on the Harrison would make much of a difference between the two, but I noticed. The high instep was also more noticeable on the Unis. I have flat feet if that helps anyone.

Bonus pic!

I went to the AE store to get some shoe trees, and they had these suede Cavanaughs on clearance for $157. I've never been a penny loafer fan, but these were just so well made. I think part of it is all the plastic looking penny loafers I've seen my whole life. They just seemed beautiful as objects, so I took them home, tried them with most everything, and they just look dumb on me. They're going back. Also these were the first AE 11D that didn't fit me well. My heel would keep popping out of the back, but it was cured with a tongue pad. This picture doesn't really get the color right which really hurts the richness of the colors of the wood, suede, and leather on the inside.

So - 1.) would you still say they run short; and 2.) Hell of a lot better than sperry goldcup authentic original penny's?  Really?

I was going to write to you as planned but it was date night so please forgive me. I thought they were shorter but they run the same length as my Sperry's, or a little longer. So far no toe smashing which is a plus and at $175, the gold cup were slightly cheaper but I think this is the much better choice. It was a good investment in the end. Now onto the Shreveport's :)

Actually, I did happen on my way through Nordstrom find some nice gold cup Sperry's that I actually did like. I guess its up to your opinion on what you like. Hope this helps.

I see the tile, but I'm not really seeing the wood though.

The tile is awful. I was referring to the wood on the shoe, at least I think it is wood. It really stands out to me.
