Honestly, I'm relieved. There are other models on my wish list...was just hard to pass on this deal.

Next up, bourbon McAllisters!

Mcallisters will be priced @ 250 according the the SA I know who's already contacted mr regarding the anniversary sale. It will be a good time to pick them up.

Rick gave me a call-back before I could e-mail him about the Townley's. For some reason my cards aren't going through, so I'll have to check with the bank tomorrow to see what's going on. But, that does leave open the 10D for anyone who wants it :) I think the store is open until 7pm today.

How can the 10d be what's left? That's crazy. You people are killing me!

Edit: not that I want to snag them from masernaut. Just odd that the common size would be left.

I wonder if he realized how fast these would go. He should have bought them all himself and flipped them for a profit here! I'm sure he learned of the power of SF, just like Jeffersonville did.

He actually said he used to work at Jeffersonville and was quite familiar with SF, which is how he knew to tell me the remaining stock.

We were surprised, too, that the outlier sizes went first!

Just called about the Townleys. All they have left is three pairs in 10.5 d. So, there you go!

Just got my recrafted Fairfax back today. I beat the hell out of these shoes for 7 years...
They came back looking 100xs better than I could have hoped.
They look amazing.
Thanks AE!

Smokey Grey Mctavish arrived as well. Love them with blue laces swapped in.

I just came over here looking for info @ some shoes im interested in and i find you guys messing around with SHELL CORDOVAN . Do you guys have any idea how dangerous that stuff is ! You can never have enough . If you fret about spending $300 on shoes now you aint seen nothing. Mess with that stuff and you'll find yourself dropping $750 a pop and you'll be looking at another pair you gotta have while they'r still in the mail Dont take my word for it. Go lurk around the alden thread . Those poor guys got problems . Not only is the stuff outrageously priced .Its hard to find . Just when you realize you cant live without that pair of color4 captoe boots w/commando soles you find they'r all sold out and the manufacturer dosen't when if ever they will ever be made again . This is no way to live . You just stay away from that stuff you be a lot happier and certainly a lot wealthier . Dont say you wern't warned

Englade321, you're too late. Go browse through this thread and you'll see. Better to find someone who can still be saved... :D

I wasn't sure you could get any through TSA! I have had Leona Meat Plant in Troy Pa. (Bradford County) ship me some before, they get it from Sunbury, Pa. How a man can go hunting without a decent breakfast of scrapple is beyond me... The Malvern is a flyer on the 1 last, it fits much tighter than any other 1 last shoe or boot that I own. I returned mine. Go for it.... you can always return them if they don't fit?
Scrapple delivery? I never considered the possibility. I've been without since I left the east coast. It's good to know that there are some SFers who appreciate scrapple.

Hey moderators- should this be put in a separate thread, the responses seem to keep coming in, perhaps an "Allen Edmonds recrafting thread"?

Considering that even the company CEO is now reading StyleForum to hear about and get feedback on AE shoes, I for one am curious about the recrafting service. If anyone has sent their shoes in for this, maybe post up with pictures of the before and after, talk about the overall experience and time to get this done, results? Suggestions? It sounds like a good idea, to spend 20-25% of the cost of the shoes to get an almost as good-as-new shoe that you know you like, and maybe even better because it's already broken in?
