Here they are!
AE Daltons in Walnut Cordovan

They fit a little more lose than other AE shoes on the same last. The fit in the toe box is spot on but my heel does slip a little. Besides from this minor fit issue i'm loving the way they look.

Hi Guys

i recently purchased a AE Strand shoe and 2 Brooks Brothers Cap Toe and Medallion shoes (which i believe are rebranded AE's).

Can someone recommend a shoe tree for all three shoes i have purchased.

Thanks
Any shoe tree will work. I personally use J&M since a local shoe-store sells them at deep-discounted price. Nordstrom Rack carry's Woodlore shoe trees at around $14.99. Woodlore is the manufacturer of AE's shoe trees.

Agreed, I've gone back and forth between Alden & AE shell longwing and eventually settled on the MacNeil. When it comes time for a PTB, I may end up with AE in favor of Alden again.

I like the AE Leeds better than the equivalent Alden PTB:

Just looks a little better to me mainly.

Don't really understand the obsession with AE leeds. There are much nicer shoes available.

To each his own.

Gunboats are classic. There may in fact be no better shoe for most all occasions. Dress it up, dress it down. You could get by with just this one pair of shoes if you wanted to. From a walk in the park to a black tie event, without even changing shoes.

I picked up a pair of Bayfields today. Love the feel of the boot. So comfy and much needed here in the midwest.

Thinking of getting the Sanford. Is the $275 sale price a good deal on it? Or will it be had for cheaper later?

Maybe as a second. There's a fellow round these parts who sells them for less I think...ALLABOUTSHOES IIRC.

went to the outlet today and Edward was very helpful. he told me there might be a boot sale soon and another sale after that would be the February 7th sale. The walnut lombards seconds are $140. they also have the Nordstrom player's shoe on sale for $149. I also see the chocolate and snuff suede player's shoe but not sure what the price is.

Edward was also very nice to hold a chocolate Dalton in my size until the sale.

once again, their service is extremely satisfactory.

yes the walnut leather version of the player's shoe, really awesome, especially it's with the leather sole as opposed to the rubber sole on the lombards.
