Amok looks really interesting almost a DB. Also do y'all think you would wear a black MacNeil with suits?

Where are you guys seeing the AE Holiday Sale on their site? I can't find any link.

On a separate note, anyone know of a site that's selling the Kenilworth in brown or walnut at a discount, like how Amazon was doing their 30% off or whatever?

The AE holiday specs are leaked, will not be available until Nov. 24. I think endless.com is having a 25% off sale as well. Lots of AE sales right now, and unfortunately AE will not price match with any other website or store...

Sure you can, and no one will bat an eye out in the real world, but a bal wingtip (mcallister) or cap toe fits better with most suits.  I wear my burgundy shell MacNeil or leeds with my less formal suits. I wear strands or black shell leeds with the suits that are more formal, then my park aves with those that are most formal.

I just purchased my first pair of AE's.

I live in Chicago and I got myself the Bayfields in black for the winter.

What do people think of them?

All my other shoes are JL, EG, Peal and Co, etc but I felt like it was a waste of money to spend that much money on a pair of boots for the winter from those companies.

From what I can see so far I'm extremely impressed with these boots. Great look and construction.

I'm really enjoying mine. The fit of the 1 last is very good for me and the Bayfield is a sharp boot. The build feels very solid and it is very comfortable.

Yep, I didn't even mean to buy them but that cherry sole and the contrast stitching roped me in.

I'm also looking for the McTavish in the natural color in the future. Just received a pair of Quintons last week. Will post when I get a chance.

Just a heads up, this happened to mine yesterday after wearing 12-15 times:

The other heel is coming loose too:

I'm a pretty big AE fan and currently have about 10 pairs. After contacting customer support I got the reply "I will email you a UPS prepaid label to return the defective boot back to my attention. I apologize for the inconvenience. This is not typical, and the problem has been resolved."

The label they sent me looks like it was going to recrafting so kudos to AE for fixing the problem immediately at no additional expense to me! "The problem has been resolved" sounds like maybe this was a possibly a recurring problem so I just wanted to post it here. If anyone else encounters this with the the Bayfield contact customer support and they will fix it.

Thoughts on brown Williams for $310?

My local AE outlet will have Bayfield seconds on sale for $140 on Friday. I'm hoping to pick up a pair for the winter.
