The fatigue color is ugly as anything; but I am liking the ones for 92 (burgundy/blue/olive) Thanks!

I like the Frye James wingtip and actually chose it over a similar AE macneil wingtip.

I think you're right. That name sounds right, even though as you said the current Clifton is a blucher. Doing some searching there are actually merchants who still describe the Clifton as a bal.

I posted a picture of the old clifton balmoral and the EBay listing a week or two ago in this thread.  Great looking shoe that I wish AE would bring back.

I got my Kenilworth in the right size now. I read somewhere to break the shoes in you should first wear them on carpet? Is this true?


Any Toronto members know where I can get shoe trees for cheap?

That is typically recommended In order to test if the shoe fits your feet correctly. Walking on carpet inside the house does not put noticeable wear on the soles, allowing you to return/exchange them if you choose

Is it me, or does the pre-released catalog pics say that these new models are coming out Feburary of 2013. That would be a long time to wait for the Harrison, Dundee, and Haight, for my part... ffffuuuu.gif

The Harrison picture says available August 1st, but that date has already passed, so who knows.

Hey, that might be a good thing.... giving me some time to save up some money before blowing it on a few pairs of AEs. May also get the old lady off my back for owning too many pairs of shoes =)

Are you sure, it looks like February 1, 2013 to me...

So, it looks like different models come out at different time.

The chelsea boot Haight should already be out, the dundee comes out October, and i have to wait till next year for the Harrision...

MacNeils, in burgundy cordovan, ordered in but the cap has a good crease on both shoes. It is beveled to the point that i suspect they were caught in a press during production. I was hoping for my first cords, but i will have to wait now...

These are not good pics, but the Parkway in grey was at my local AE today, it looked pretty good:

it looks like the walnut is February, but the other colors are August

Good looking shoe, a black shoe in an informal style is always a hard match. Walnut or burnished brown would be much easier
