Pardon the crappy iPhone quality pics.

Yep, gorgeous.  I have only worn mine twice so far, picked them up a couple weeks ago.  Definitely need to brush the piss out of them, the finish from AE was definitely sub par.  After about 30 min the true beauty really came to lift.  Straight bar lacing for me as well, looks great with most of their full brogued balmorals.

I think I'll wear them again tomorrow :)

Honestly, the leather is so much different than the calf... i say just keep them clean and give them a good brushing every once in a while.  I have the blue and they seem like they can take a beating without much care.  But ask AE directly, i am sure they have some sort of way to keep up with them.

i love them, but honestly... i truly think they are difficult to pull off in most instances.  being younger, i would love to get a pair of these (or a walnut colored pair from whoever) to go with a slimmer fitting suit or a more trendy outfit (jeans with a buttondown)... they aren't as versatile as an oxford so i haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

i do like them though, just wouldn't be a smart purchase on my part

Yes $399 first and $299 seconds is a great price for shell. AE called me today about the second pair of Bradley's they sent me, which also bowed but the replacement pair was only the left shoe this time and I also returned them. She admitted it was very much out of specs like the first pair was. I really like the shoe and feel it is similar to the Leeds in that it fits well for most everything except for the most extreme formal functions in life. They offered me choice of another shell shoe, refund or try for a third pair. There were no cappuccino Dundee's or McAllister left and the black shell Park Ave. was not available although it shows up on the website still. So I elected for the third time is a charm route. While I do not know your style I would guess that you would do very well with the Bradley's. Go for it! I doubt you would regret getting them. The burgundy AE shell IMO goes with most everything very well and is the most versatile of shell colors.

Saddle soap.  Same goes for any of the waxy leathers like the McTavish, Elgin, Ridgeway, etc.

Isn't that the beauty of cordovan though? Bringing out the finish on your own and watching the shoes get more beautiful over time?

My arms are definitely sore from today though lol...

How does the Yuma boot fit? Should I size up for thicker socks?

Are you going to wear it with thicker socks?  I mean like really thick boot socks.

I have them and love mine I got them in brown and wear them often. I've worn them with anything from navy blue slacks to a charcoal suit. I've gotten several compliments from them.

I'll see how they fit me. Out of the ones on sale, I am only in the market for a mock toe or a longwing. Hopefully I won't have the same Bradley troubles, it would be interesting to see what all the cordovan extolling is all about smile.gif

For very thick socks, I go up one width.

Hey guys. Any recommendation for an overshoe that fits great with AE. I Have a pair of strands in 9.5e and new orleans in 9.5d. Any overshoe and size recommendations for less than $30? Thank you.
