I have heel taps on all of my shoes. Full heel replacements are way too costly.

Today, and only today, for being the longest day of the year you get %15 off. They do strange stuff like that from time to time. The code is x2093save which you enter at checkout.
For AE shoes that the Exchange does not carry you can request a quote through the special order program, but you can not use the discount codes for those.
To get the codes in advance sign up for emails at the bottom left hand side of the AAFES home page. It is almost always %10 and free shipping. If you have the Military Star card you also get discounts from time to time. They also just started to carry Filson bags and clothing. I recently picked a Pullman to add to my collection.

Got a question regarding the tent sale. I put my order on the 13th today for a pair of walnut shell strands and shoe trees. Today I just got shoe trees and no shoes. Does AE usually ship these things together or do separate packages? Should I call and double check my order or just wait and see if they got separated for whatever reason tomorrow?
AE has always sent the shoes with the shoe trees in them. I would call.
I've never gotten a pair of shoes with the trees actually inserted into the shoes. The pairs that I've purchased directly from AE came in their own respective packaging, both in one large box.

I've had orders split and sent separately. It's possible they didn't have your size trees at the same location as the shoes, so they sent from a different store. I wouldn't worry; but it couldn't hurt to check.
They never come with the shoe trees. You always have to pay for them. However, in order to save space for shipping, they will often place the shoe trees in the shoes instead of in their own box (assuming you paid the extra to purchase the trees).

I ordered exactly the same when the shell went on sale last time around and the shoe trees did indeed ship separately from the shoes.
Ah, okay. I thought I was missing out on trees.
And yup, they explained how things are shipped separately. I got 3 separate packages (2 pairs of shoes, 1 box with 2 shoe tree pairs)
The color can vary a few shades.
My shoes trees from the factory came separately from the shoes, as in two different boxes. When shipped from the store, the trees are in the shoes.
I think they ordered my trees from the factory as well as the shoes, but they came from two different places.
I need some help deciding on 2 new pair of shoes.
Here's what I own:

^^^ click to enlarge ^^^
I've sorted them from most formal to least formal. I'm looking for 2 main solutions:
(1) I want a new brown pair of shoes to wear to work. I currently rotate in the J&M Aldrich's, but they don't fit me well, and they are also a burgundy color that feels too formal. I like the quarter brogue style (similar to the fifth avenue). The weird thing is, if I replace with with a fifth avenue in brown, then I end up having a very similar shoe to my strand. What would be a good light to medium brown colored shoe that would be a good workhorse shoe? ( business casual work environment - buttondown and slacks, no tie or suits ). The strand and mcallisters I own feel too flashy for my work environment. I'm thinking some kind of moc/apron toe here? Or another quarter brogue in a light to medium brown?
(2) For casual wear / dates, I have 2 nice options for dressier occasions (the strand and mcallister), but only the desert boots for more casual situations ( button down and jeans, etc ). What would be a good option for something dressier than the desert boot but more casual than the mcallister/strand? Maybe some type of boot?
I'm finding it annoying that I spent the most amount of money on the two shoes that I wear the least.

A little less frequently but I also replace the soles more often.
