Boring compared to the custom jobs shown recently, but here's what I'm wearing today: burgundy shell Park Aves.

Sure is. Here are my Cappuccino Leeds. My usual crappy desk pics!

Beautiful. I should get a pair of Leeds someday. They look much better than the website pictures (as expected).

Very nice!  I think I pictured it being a lighter, more natural welt.  Allison told me that the chili split reverse with light brown transparent edge dressing is what's on the Neumok and what you have there looks much darker than what's on the Neumok.

Hmmmm. Lemme check my invoice... It says "light brown generich edge dressing". I mistakenly added the transparent, I guess. It is a chili welt, tho.

I agree. These look better in person.

About to undertake my next dying adventure... I have an old pair of AE finch walnut saddles... In a couple places the shoes are darkening pretty badly (looks like it's coming from the shoe itself, not an exterior source)... Anyway, I never really liked the shoes much and have decided (I think) on changing the color to dark brown and burgundy (most versatile colors for my casual wardrobe), but can't decide on burgundy shoe with brown saddle, or brown shoe with burgundy saddle... Keeping in mind the light welt & sole edge, I turn to the esteemed readers here... what would you prefer?

I just looked at the invoice for my MacNeils... That invoice says "light brown transparent". I'm not sure what I'm gonna get, but I'll find out in a couple weeks! They may be one in the same.

Any suggestions for a last that has narrow heel cups? I think the bowing that I am getting on my 5 last shoes are because my heels/ankles don't fit in the heel cup, though from the vamp to the toebox, my shoes fit like a dream.

How is the 7 last? I'm thinking of trying out some MacNeils.

I'm hoping that my macneils are a bit lighter on the edge/welt.....but I'm assuming it will be given the difference in terms from your Leeds invoice vs. your Macneil invoice.

It may be...Although I told Allison that I wanted the exact make-up of my Leeds and Dundee. Maybe I will have to check. I would not mind a lighter edge dressing on the longwings if it does turn out that way.

The welt will be the same. The chili on that Neumok looks the same as my Leeds. Just the sole edge may be different.

What color welt/egde dressing did you go with?

i went boring... standard strand make up:

-tone on tone stitching
-standard insole
-standard out sole
-black flat welt
-black sole & edge dressing

i wanted these to be "normal"... the strand is my absolute favorite shoe, and burgundy/merlot my favorite color (after a few years of proper care & age that is...)

If you end up checking with her, let me know what she says. If not I'll probably email her tomorrow.....I suspect our Macneil's are going to be lighter, though. When I was in the process of ordering I included that Neumok picture, specifically, and said I was looking for a cappuccino cordovan Macneil on the welt/edge of that Neumok with the JR sole, of course.
