Pics of my 2 for 250 purchase. Small blemish on the brooks Mcallister, can certainly live with it. I have a feeling it will diminish after polishing. The issue I have with the Brady's is worse though. They are wobbly, like the heels aren't flat causing both shoes to teeter. I will have to exchange those.

Anyone know if I will b hit with a restocking fee for exchanging out the defective Brady's.

What do you when a shoe's width feels fine but there's just a little too much room between the vamp and the top of your foot?

What shoe?
Are they uncomfortably loose?
Does your foot slide forward inside the shoe when you walk?
Tighten the laces tighter?
Thin insole?
Tongue insert if that is the loose region and laces are fully tight?

Folks who have been getting seconds of the #8 shells in this past sale: Which version of the shell did you get? The dark brown/eggplant #8, or the much lighter, redder #8? I have a pair of shell MacNeil seconds on their way, and I'm hoping they are the lighter, redder version (though I'll take either, of course, especially as I plan on beating this pair up).

Park Aves. They fit just fine, but the Cs fit better. Unfortunately I couldn't find Cs, so I had to settle for Ds. Not uncomfortable, no sliding, and they feel just fine on the sides. There's just definitely a good bit of room between the vamp and the top of my foot. I'm hoping an insole will do the trick.

Having an Amex is a great privilege to everyone especially when you use it wisely. But unfortunately, some people find it hard to deal with their Amex in case of having trouble while using it. Luckily, we have some people nor organization who can help us to fix it.

what you on about?

I'm curious if the policy will be enforced for serious defects that probably should not have been shipped in the first place as opposed to some of the nit pick returns they get. What was your experience with this policy?

It's a brand new policy.

Oh I wouldn't call that the dark #8. It's not as light as it sometimes is, but my wallet and watch strap are both much, much, much darker than that, much closer to the #8 pictures AE has on their website. My 721s are more like the picture you sent. Though, they've gotten a bit darker over the past year, from sunlight I suppose. Anyway, that is a gorgeous color of #8, I hope my MacNeils are like that.

Wearing Dalton's, for the first time, today and I had to unlace the right boot to drive, how long until the leather softens?

Of course, that might also tighten the sides a bit due to elevation of your foot. Also consider a tongue insert/pad. Good luck!

Was told on the phone the restock would apply when I posed the hypothetical of exchanging due to a defect that I might not be comfortable with in hopes I could find a defect that I am comfortable with - also talked about trying to have them look at the actual shoes to be shipped to describe the defect before shipping to reduce this potentiality. Of course, when there is a real and specific shoe involved in the conversation and if the defect is structural, then anyone's outcome could be on a case basis. My yes response was just stating the policy as I understand it to now be.

Do you think this instep creasing is indicative of a size issue? These are Patriots in 10EEE that I purchased in July. Originally I went home with the 10E but returned them because they were too tight. The 10EEE's took some time to break in but now they feel nice and even a bit loose. Considering ordering some cordovan Patriots but I wanted to check in first on this group's thoughts.

That is exactly what I suspected when this fee started being talked about on here.

I believe I've decided on my shell cordovan MTO......thoughts? Opinions?

Cappuccino cordovan MacNeil
Double butyl sole
Split reverse welt
Light brown transparent for sole edge dressing (think about what the Neumok welt/sole looks like).

So, basically, take a cappuccino MacNeil and put it on the sole/welt of a Neumok. I'm aiming for a more casual shoe, hence the lighter sole/welt.
