Someone on here mentioned the Brooks Brothers version of the strand is $60 dollars less, does that mean off of $259 normal price or the $199 sale price.

I think I would prefer the BB version.

Just an FYI, for those of you who are looking into Players:
I'm usually an 8D in Last 5.
Just got two pairs of Players in. 8D is super tight. While 8.5E fits perfect.

You guys know if AE would do future recrafts on BB-rebrands?

I found a "Donald Trump" brand belt for $19.99 (might've even been less) at Marshall's that matched AE's Chili closely.  Here it is shown with my Chili Delrays:

 

 

Without the camera flash, the belt itself may look every so slightly a tad more "brown" than the shoe, but it's a very close match, and without having to drop $100 on an AE belt (I love their shoes, but I can't justify spending that much on a belt).

 

The answer used to be no.  Someone else posted that the answer is now yes.  I would call AE and ask.

 

Agreed, that looks really odd.

Finally got through to AE's number.  They confirmed that as long as it was originally made by AE, they'll recraft it as long as the style and materials are still available at the time of recraft. 

 

In terms of how they verify that it was in fact originally AEs, I don't know.  I don't think they have any AE markings on the BB rebrands, right?

 

You're fine.  AE makes the BB punch cap (not Peal).

I just made another pilgrimage to the AE store.  Exchanged my Neuomoks for a different size, down one width.  The fit is now great.  I also exchanged the Katmai for a brown suede Neumok.  The customer service was excellent as usual.

 

I've been in search of a loafer.  I looked at the Grayson online and dismissed it right away.  After looking at it in real life, it's back on the table.  I'd like to reiterate that the AE website photos are horrible.

 

I also laid hands on the Rutledge.  The burnished brown is gorgeous.  FYI the SA advised that it runs big and generally recommends going down 1/2 size.
