Ordered a pair of burgundy Daltons and black Cambridges!

That is almost precisely what I was looking for: burgundy shell Daltons or Cambridges.

Black Cambridge and burgundy Park Ave... :) These sales have a way of making me spend money I wasn't counting on... but I think that's their plan!

Anyone have a list for 10.5D for the shell sale? I can email/call myself but thought if someone else already had it, I could save some time. Thanks!

That's the exact shoe I wanted, but nothing there in a 10D. Debating getting a 9.5E list or not.

Interesting point. A lot of people say for 5-last shoes to go down 0.5 size and up one width. My calf strands are TTS but there is definitely enough room that 0.5 size down would not be too small....

Poron insoles.

AE still claims it isn't...

Jared: Hello. How may I assist you?
OptoDoc: I have a questions about the Suede version of the Strand. Does it have the same full leather insole as the other models or a poron insole?
Jared: The Strandmok does have the poron insole.
OptoDoc: not the strandmok...the brogue suede strand
Jared: Oh those will not have a different insole than the other strand. It will just have the leather lining.
OptoDoc: Ok, thank you. Some of the advertisement pics of the shoe made it look like it might be Poron.
Jared: Oh ok. No it will not have the Poron insole for these Strand shoes.

I just got the last 8.5 D Burgundy Shell Cambridge! Hooray for having a seconds list from last week and the Labor Day sale.

Though they just sent me the e-receipt instead of calling back, so I couldn't ask about when the sale ended. Ah well. If you want to find out, just call/email yourself :)

It doesn't sound like he is completely sure what he is talking about based on the back and forth, and I wonder what he's trying to say by the comment about it "just having the leather lining?"

Regardless, I'm not trying to argue since I haven't seen it in person. However, there are now two photos on their website showing that they don't have the traditional leather insole. Interestingly, each photo is different, but both are foam (one is Poron brand, the other is just foam).

Photo shows Poron:

Photo shows leather wrapped foam (Not Poron brand, similar to other suede models like the Big Sur):

I will say that the pictures here look more promising though (although they are a bit dark)!

Like I said, I'm not trying to argue, and I hope that they do have the traditional leather insole. I realize that AE's photos can be incorrect. The pair in this link also shows a normal Dainite sole, whereas the photo on AE's website shows some strange hybrid version (which I didn't like as much either).

I'll take pics of the shoes in person today to confirm the insole and report back.

In other news might have to pick up a pair of cordovan Leeds, I wonder if any cordovan Dundees are out there?

Not trying to argue either, I'm just confused. I really want these shoes, so I'd like to know.

That would be fantastic JS!

My hopes from my post above were just dashed when I found this pic on Amazon

That's Poron without a question.
