I have bought a few seconds I am happy with.however for the cordovan strand at one point I bought two pairs that were available in my size. One pair had a weird creasing pattern on the right shoe. The other pair, felt much tighter around the front half of the shoe and too loose towards the ankle. Keep in mind, I have tried a pair at the store, and they had none of the issues i noticed with the seconds.I wear a 9.5D

RydenFan, those are a very nicely done make up. I particularly like the rolled edges, it gives the boot a terrific look. I will confess, with the shine, the color, the sole edges, and the 'commando-like' sole, I really thought that they were Aldens. Job well done, enjoy them!

I have seen a bit of Cappuccino Shells postings lately and it has me wondering really how Cappuccino compares against the AE Brown Shell. Anyone have a good description (or pics comparing)? Thanks!

What does the community think about these gray McTavish? I got them on sale probably 8 months ago now and I think this is only the second time I've worn them. Im still on the fence...

I like those grey McTavish kicks. They're a great Friday with jeans shoe.

However, if they're not you - I've heard B.Nelson can dye them for you. They'd look pretty cool in black or dark blue as well.

Hmmmm...So that is 1.5 votes for Navy. I think Navy does sound pretty good. I'm trying to think how much more useful they will be than grey...

Navy is a great colour for shoes. They are fun but never on your face. I have a pair of navy shell - love wearing them. I think navy very versatile - its as close as black and works well in formal settings and being navy its playful - works on casual settings as well.

I'd love to see pics of these when done!

I will take pictures in every step and will post on this thread.

I also think that for what I paid for them, if I wear them once every 8 months I'm probably getting my moneys worth. I'd probably rather put the money I'd spend on dying them towards another pair or just sell them.

de glazier + paint will cost you total under $20-$25. Plus you will have a pair of exclusive navy shoes. Have a look at the carmina thread. They are killing it. Factory making killer navy shoes.

Didn't think it would be that cheap. That is if I do it myself, right?

Ohhh...I've been all over the Carmina thread! I'll own a pair soon enough...

Navy would be a killer statement with some British Khaki pants too. The grey are "fun" shoes and the Navy could be fun shoes as well.

I'd love to see what they'd look like. It could be a fun weekend project for sure...another thing to get the wife / g/f rolling her eyes over
