I hadn't purchased any Allen Edmonds since college, but I recently picked up a pair of the wings below. I must say, the AEs compare favorably to some of my other shoes that were much more expensive.

Now, I need to find a belt that matches, AE offers this belt, but I find it a bit casual looking. Any suggestions on alternatives?

I think that belt would be fine, but also take a look at the Manistee belt. I got the bourbon one with my bourbon Strands and it looks great.

Hello Gentlemen, I have a question.

I bought McAllisters and worn them three times. My left shoe is just fine. My right shoe on the other hand makes a weird noise while walking, during the flex to be precise. It's not a squeeking sound to point issues with the leather. I hear air puffing out of the shoe noise and gives a little extra bowing while flexing and making this noise.

Any idea, tips ?

Thanks much.

P.S : I have PAs and they are perfectly fine.

Bump. I appreciate your inputs. Thanks

Here's a scan I found for the AE sale. Based on history does anyone know if other colors of the Strands or McAllisters or even the Park Avenues will be discounted? (Park Ave. should be $229)

Got my Broadstreet's in the mail from the webgem special. Disappointed that they didn't do the vintage label inside but oh well. Also, size up .5 from #5 last shoes, the toebox in the Broadstreet's is very narrow. Pic below.

Kenilworth Brown Burnished in action, I bought 7D instead of my normal size of 7E due to Amazon didn't have stock during my first shoe order 20% off, the pair has always been just slightly too narrow for my toes, and will give a small blister on the left or right feet if I have to walk a bit during the day.

Lesson learnt, never ever compromise size and fit for price!

As it shows two pairs of Maxfield, Neumok, and Lasalle I would guess it's only those colours? I was waiting for a Neumok in Snuff Suede, that's too bad.

It's traditionally only specific colors, but keep your eye on Amazon if you are looking for a different color. Amazon has a history of matching the Anniversary sale, but for all colors in the specified models. Usually takes Amazon a few days to a week to match, but they have each of the last several years.

That is a great looking shoe - I was tempted when they were webgems and I didn't buy them. Now I am regretting that.

I sent you a message in Ebay.

I decided I do need another pair of black shoes.

A pleasure doing business with you.

Except McTavish, I've had no luck with the 5 last. I guess I need a 4 E or something.

Have learned my lesson though. It was really dumb of me to wear them to work. Otherwise I could have just returned them.

Oh well. Glad an SF cat got them. Wear in good health!

In addition to that option, one might talk to an AE sales associate about price matching. I did yesterday. I was told either version of the suade Neumoks would have to be made up but to call him when the official details of Nordstrum's sale come out. He didn't promise me I could get the snuff at the sale price but he didn't say no either. I'll wait til the 19th then press him.

Speaking of the neumok in suade, I gather some see the lighter one as a spring/summer shoe and the snuff fall/winter but others like both year round. Which is more versatile?

AE will price match Nordstrom, but it depends on the SA whether the price match will apply to colors that are not on sale at Nordstrom.
