They are gorgeous shoes, no doubt. I just don't know if I can justify a dressy pair of loafers...I do not wear suits very often these days, and they may be too casual for cotton or linen. I love the detailing on them though.

Looks interesting. perhaps a replacement for the grain malvern (which was on some narrow version of the 1 last)

I got new rubber heels put on my Patriot loafers at a local shop ($20). Does this mean they're ineligible for AE recrafting in the future?

Grain was added in the last few days.

I've planned an mto with the Odenwald and the Sturgis, but am waiting on the g-mto results first.

After the GMTO - my next boot will probably be the new chukka coming out which I really hope is offered in lots of colors so I do not have to MTO it

That's good to know about the new chukka coming out soon.

Club Monaco has the Dundee in black calf: http://www.clubmonaco.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=41825776

Hope they have them in brown so that they are more affordable than the shell version.

Maiden voyage of the newly acquired seconds truffles, setting up the week right.

Happy Monday everyone.

Just put in my order for a Walnut Larchmont that popped up on the shoebank in 9.5B. Glad I managed to get what I want in semi-rare size.

so I have strands in 10EEE and 5th street boots in 10E. Both are on the 5 last. The strands of course fit me great in the front of my foot where it is wide, but there's a lot of heel slip. On the 5th street boots in 10E, the heel slip isn't there but I had to get them stretched in the front. Its better but not perfect.

So, it looks like to get the strand to fit perfectly I should tighten up the heel. Does anyone have any experience with a cobbler putting in a leather heel pad to wrap around the inside of the heel part of the shoe to decrease the volume?

I bought brown Kenilworths as my second pair of AEs and I really love them. They are really versatile and I think they look better on than they do in pictures....for what it is worth.

How quickly does shoebank ship out? I ordered middle of last week and received the invoice but I have not received the shipping confirmation email...

They ship them out pretty quick, mostly within 24 to 48 hours. I had occasions when I don't receive shipping confirmation but the package still showed up. I'd give it till end of tomorrow before calling them back.

Is a 8.5EE a really uncommon shoe size? There are hardly any shoes available in that size on Shoebank and Amazon. Or is it very common and that is why the stock is so low?

Few shaker heights and promontory point boots for 160 on AE's site.

Hi, all. Hope nobody's sold too many organs, given the Labor Day sale...

... which leads me to a quick question I have:

The McGraw is calling my name, but I'd just like to double check the information I've found about the last (the 234 -- I think it's the 4 under the old numbering).

Supposedly, it's very similar to the 7-97, but with a pointed/chiseled toe. Can anyone verify that? Also, do y'all find that you wear the same size in loafers and bluchers on the 7 last? I'm really happy with how my MacNeils fit.

Thanks in advance for being enablers!

And tradbrah, though I don't shop wide shoes (since I'm narrow of foot, myself), my impression is that single E and EEE are easier to come by than double E. Not sure why. Could be that, just as a lot of Es probably squeeze into D widths, a lot of EEs are willing to swim in EEEs.
