I didn't get much traction when I posted to another thread, seeing what I can get from the aficionados here.

I was planning to get the AE players shoe, but instead ended up spending more than I had intended and got the Jefferson which was much more comfortable.

I also picked up a matching belt, but pairing the shoes with dark blue jeans (Levi's Made & Crafted Ruler) and the belt I feel like a cowboy! Not the look I was going for.

I like the shoe and don't think that's causing the cowboy vibe, may be the belt or jeans? Any alternative ideas?

It's the jeans, I feel the same way when I tuck my shirt in while wearing jeans. Try alternative trouser options.

I do the same thing with my strands but I usually wear a sport coat to avoid the cowboy feel.

You don't actually know any cowboys do you?

But - yeah, if it makes you uncomfortable either change pants or wear a sportcoat or an untucked shirt.

Get some more tapered jeans, and it will look awesome.

Very obviously has never been around real cowboys!

Anyway, since this is an AE appreciation thread I'll kick in my quarter's worth. Monday I went down to my nearest AE store looking for burgundy slip-ons. The Kenwoods felt wonderful and were a reasonable price but they were out of my size in the color I wanted. Problem? Uh-uh. A pair was mailed to me within 4 hours of payment and arrived Friday. I thought I'd try them on indoors . . . and wore them the rest of the day! I've never, ever had a non-bespoke shoe fit so well and feel so good. Well done, that company!

They came back with a laundry list of models, you are probably better served just emailing them with your size to see what they will have in stock.

Where did you find the sohos? Haven't they been discontinued for a while now? Congrats on a great looking shoe!
Got the soho's through the show bank. They had one pair and it happened to be in my size, 14 eee. Same for the bayfields. Haven't work either shoe for very long yet, but I really like them. Gorgeous and comfortable.

Does anyone know if the Norwich will be on sale? I want to pick a pair up and was wondering if they will be on sale.

New AE Shell Bradley on their first trip out. I bought these from AE when they were listed for $250 for a few moments on their website before Christmas last year. Very happy with them.

If anyone happened to get an extra pair of 11D Daltons during the factory sale, I'd gladly take them off your hands.

I purchased some Bayfield seconds a couple weeks ago and they almost instantly became my favorite pair of shoes I own. Truly wish I'd purchased a pair earlier.
