Thanks.

You could order the 10.5D, and if it doesn't work out, try for an exchange for a 10E when it becomes available.

Good price on seconds?

AE doesn't have any austerity shoes in box calf right?

I guess it's a good time to consider the web gems if that's possible.

About those linen/calfskin webgems, does that mean you can MTO the same shoe with a different makeup for $225 flat?

Just received the bourbon strands I ordered through the Nordstrom sale.

First impression I was a little underwhelmed. Some of the bourbon strands I've seen posted have had a almost dark golden-like look. I'm sure that is accomplished through polish of course, but these appear to be more dark brown than bourbon.

The issue however is that they are a little long. These are 11's (D), and I have some significant play room in the toe box. That is a surprise considering my 2nd hand burgundy Sanford's are a perfect snug fit. 11 C.

I think possibly my footsize is somewhere between 11 and 10 1/2's on this last. My only option is to have these replaced with 10 1/2's and hope they fit.

Sorry for the rambling, I'll try to figure out how to post a couple pictures later this evening. Have a macro economics test to take care of.

On second inspection there are some interesting flaws on the shoes. Something only someone who lurks on this thread would notice. Pics coming after my test 😊

You realize that the strands and sanford are a different last, right?

Yep, good price. Is that at an AE outlet store? Those Dalton look great.

^ I acknowledged they are different lasts. "I think possibly my size is between 10 1/12 and 11 on this last" - in reference to the strand last. Sorry I could have made that more clear

I think it would be ok...really a lot will be determined on what a "Good" fit is to you...meaning is the 10.5D a good fit but a touch snug or touch loose etc. I find the bal's the toughest to fit do to my arch. Also is the shoe going to be worn several time a week? If so make sure they fit great or you will regret it - the only shoes I now keep that are just "good" fits are ones that only get worn 1 or 2 times a month.

Grab them, then post pictures. You know the drill. Cheers.

Ok A.E connoisseurs, here is a test: can you spot the flaw in these shoes? (Hint: it's not the small thread that is visible on the right shoe)

I got them for 125 by accident in the 2 for sale but I love the boot and the 1 last is my best last.
Wear them in good health.
