The real unanswered question here: how do you know it was human poo?

I would recommend thinking twice about your diet if you can't smell the difference between animal and your own/human poo.

Very Nice! I'm jealous because I can't wear loafers without my heels slipping out. Well it has been a long time, maybe I should try them once more.... I liked the ones you were wearing yesterday a lot too.

I wear 9.5 in some styles, 9 in others. I wear 10 to 11 in other brands. So there is no rule of thumb. Go by the store and get fitted and try some on. That's the only way to be sure.
Chris

This is correct. I am 11 D on the Brannock, but got fitted for a pair of AE loafers in 10.5 EE. Never would have figured out that size by myself. I've also been fitted on the AE 5 last, though I didn't buy at the time, and all I can remember now is that it was either 11 or 11.5 E. Point being, definitely go in for a fitting in the styles you like. Even if they don't have the exact color or style you want, establish the size for the last and either order online or have the store order for you. In my mind, going to the store is a little more fun too...smile.gif

shoe fit is a very individual thing and it can vary from brand to brand, from last to last, from style to style, etc., etc.

I was hoping the Sheltons would be on sale as well :( I want some saddlebacks to wear with my chino's and straight legs for more casual events.

Question is with Sheltons, should I take these to a cobbler to have some sort of soles put on (mainly to reduce sliding on carpet)?

Try it again!  Also, play around with sizes.  The Graysons I wore yesterday are on the 7-last (same as MacNeil) but I needed a 12C in the Graysons.  The Randolphs are 12D, and tend to be a little tight in the morning, loosening up as the day wears on.

Watch Amazon, I know they were low $200's around Christmas time.

Once the leather soles are broken in and worn on concrete, they should not slip on carpeting.

well, thanks to this thread i called around and found some sheltons (2nds) for $170, think I'm going to pull the trigger since he said if I don't like them they are returnable. Anyone think this isn't a good deal or thinks I should opt for a newer shoe?

definitely going to go into the brick-and-mortar store to get a fitting for the Mcallister ... how would you guys match up Walnut Mcallister's for a late afternoon summer wedding (small church)?? or would they be a bit fussy to wear to a wedding (and maybe I should stick to a plain oxford type shoe) ?

That is a good deal - I'd at least check them out, and if they don't fit or they aren't what you want, you can return them.

I forgot to mention that on Amazon, finding your size can be tough sometimes.

You may never be able to look at those shoes again the same way you did before the "incident' unless you replace them, but I doubt with proper cleaning that there would be any real danger of disease.  We're all stepping on germs that are best left unknown.  Think of stepping up to a public urinal and all the piss on the floor.  Not pleasant.

he steps in poo

he washes poo off but misses one "morsel" of poo

one day he rushes into his house and steps on his throw rug

3 days later, he's eating licorice and drops a pieces on throw rug...he invokes 5 second rule

2 days later he's sick

2 days after, he's hospitalized...ebola virus

they trace ebola virus to homeless man who frequents the sidewalks he's walks on

I think you should throw them out or sale them at a deep discount.   What size do you wear?
