Bayfields in 15D look the same way, makes me not want to wear them until I get skinnier jeans to go with them.

Yeah mine are nowhere near that, it's more of that I can just notice the leather is there across my toe rather than actually hurting or pinching in any way when it flexes.

Fantastic photo indeed, the leather reminds me of sting ray

A few days ago, wore my AE Ritz's, which are a seldom seen shoe in this thread......

I understand that leather will indeed crease some, but today is only the 4th time I've worn them and am beginning to see these creases.  Am I over thinking it, or is there something I should be doing to prevent this from happening.  These are JAB AE Nathans 2nds btw.

EDIT: I use shoe trees after every wear.

How do yous think black dalton's with jeans looks? I need a pair of black dress shoes, cus I don't have any, and would rather spend the money on something I'll use casually, rather than get boring ol' black cap toe oxfords. Thanks.

Very normal, just keep the vamp moisturized properly to prevent cracking in the long run. I use Lexol conditioner on the vamp of my McAllisters periodically along with AE cream polish.

Was kinda wondering the same thing. Thinking about picking up a cheap set of black bayfields. Just having a hard time picturing it.

I keep seeing rumors of the 2/250 sale from the Shoe Bank. I THINK that deal was also good for 1/125 in the past. Brooks Brothers is reportedly having their 30% off corporate discount sale on March 20 and I think they have a AE made version of a strand if I'm not mistaken.

I'm looking to purchase a pair of AEs to more complete my collection.  I already have black McAllisters, walnut Strands, and bourbon Mora 2.0s.  I'm thinking either a merlot/burgandy or a darker shade of brown like dark brown burnish.  I wear jeans with a blazer more often than slacks.  Which color would you guys recommend?  Also, would $272 be a good price on a pair of merlot McAllisters NIB?

I'd go burgundy/merlot. AE's merlot is an excellent shade and yes on the McAllisters.

I would get merlot bluchers if I were you. You already have two balmorals and your wardrobe is much more inclined towards the casual. Merlot Mcallisters are a good shoe, but they lean too formal imo especially if you are on a budget. If I were in your shoes (ahem), I would purchase something like the Macneil/Williams/Aberdeen in merlot. YMMV.

I was actually going to recommend the poster a derby. McAllisters are amazing, especially in burgundy, but I believe a casual shoe might be more useful to round out your collection.

As for pricing, the price can be as low as $230 (before taxes) during the semi-annsual sale from Nordstrom in July, but $270 (all-in price) is a pretty good deal as well.

I will look into bluchers/derbys, but I have already made the order for the merlot McAllisters (And it was $272 including shipping and taxes).  I am on sort of a budget, so it will probably have to wait until the next sale, probably the Nordstrom semi-annual sale.  Thanks for the heads up.

unfortunately for the lovers of the Elgin shoe, it seems sold out in 9.5 and 10...

Too bad, it look like an amazing shoe...

Actually they still have a pair in Atlanta but it as a discolouration so, they don't sell it.

So i took the Promontory Point... as i had cash burning in my pocket..

But I definitely put those shoes on my list...

- Elgin Tan Waxed (or similar in color) (i love the new rush str gold on danite sole!!!)

- WallNut Franciscian

- Blue Neumok...

- Some black one... just... because... but not really attracted by them...(the only one actually is the university...)

Any one know where to find one or what shoes to pick up with the same color?

Thanks
