AE sells them to Wolverine and Wolverine then needs to increase the price to earn a profit.

Nice shoe and a stylish last. If you want a suede wingtip, a good choice.

Also the Krause is wickedly overpriced considering what other shoes you can get in that price range

Also, not sure what to think of the Westchester's. Keep or return?

Looks like the shoes are different colors...can this be fixed?

Some dryness? Can this be fixed?

Some marks...not too worried about these as they would happen after the first few wears.
Hey, what size are you tjyoung? I'm wondering if the Westchester is my size if you send them back!

only few mins/hours to pick them up.  Great shoes IMO, esp for the price.  You can always send them back if they don't work out

Beautiful boots...I would put them with nice jeans

These are a pair of AE's I picked up over the weekend. I called AE and as best as they could tell, this style ended in 1954. Pretty cool to have a pair this old, this nice. Any other info anyone can add would be awesome.

That retro branding on the sole is cool. That's a great find. Congrats!

Length is a go... width, not so much! I actually saw the size of your Cambridge in your photos, and assumed Westchester was the same. So, you gonna keep and nurse the Westies back to health? It doesn't look like anything some brushing and buffing and creaming won't even out, and if not, they'll have plenty of character, no?

This is rather important to me though... how does the fit of the Westchester compare to the Cambridge? Have the Cambridge, want the Westy, and would love to know the comparative fit between them. Would you change anything about the sizes' width or length on either? Thanks in advance!

Hey... these shoes are hot for 2014. Right now. I would take them over The Franciscan in a heartbeat. A heart murmur, even... Handsome shoe, sir, and yes, great find. I want one. Two, I think, would be better for my feet though... B-)

Shell is notoriously difficult to turn into a wholecut -- I'm impressed that they'd do that for you in the first place, let alone that they'd do it so well. Beautiful pickup!
