Solid choice, you can't go wrong with the Long Branch. FWIW I think the "Waxy Brown" looks a little nicer

Incorrect, some Macys locations do carry them already… well before they were on the site.

Good to know.  I've never seen AE shoes in the local Macys store around here.  Macys always have sales and promotions.  Have  you seen them on sale at Macys stores?

I've only seen them at the flagship store on 34th, and never on sale. But I don't frequent the B&M Macy's to often, so I could be wrong about the sales.

If I take a size 8.5D in both the MacNeil and the Shelton, would I be advised to switch to 8E for any 5 last shoes?
I really fancy the Fifth Street boots, but there's no way I'd ever get to try them on this side of the Atlantic.

That's what works for me. 8E in Shelton and 7.5EE in 5 last. Some wear the same in all, however.

That sounds about right.

Amoks today. I don't really understand why these were discontinued. I may have to do an MTO for more colors

I keep going back and forth on these. I just wish they were a little less chiseled.

I would try the shoes on first if possible. An 8E is actually the same width as an 8.5D, but is shorter. Shoe widths adjust proportionally with the length of the shoe.

Good call.

Daltons with salmon pants in the office today. Any tip for getting the scuff out the right toe? I only have black edge dressing.

In an ideal world I would, but I'm in England, and when it comes to AE stockists, there are few or none.
Can't see myself getting over to the US this year or next, so educated guesswork has to do.

Guesswork got me some AE Quintons in size 8D, which were a bit tight, but with the help of a shoe stretcher, now are a comfortable fit. Then I discovered the AE printable shoe fit guide, and worked out I was really 8.5D in US sizes. Ordered MacNeil and Shelton seconds from Jeffersonville and they fit well.

From all I've read about the 5 last though, it seems that a wider fit would be better.
Maybe it is something that's better left until my next trip to Boston.

Thanks. I'll see if I can pick it up in store at some point. There's a store not too far from work.
