Heads up, AE site is offering $50 bucks off Cordovan Park Avenue, Strand, Patriot, and Jefferson as a Webgem special.

I can't wait to add them to the rotation.

Beautiful pair! How much do shells usually cost at the Shoe Bank?

Hey guys, i'm a huge fan of AE but living overseas i could only afford to buy and ship 1 pair (McAllister), but i'll be travelling to NYC/Boston/Washington this November, and I wanna make the most of my time there! Any recommendations where to go to get the best deal on AEs? I realise the AE outlet store is a little too far from where i'll be heading.

I'd love to get a Strand and/or a Mora in Bourbon and/or a MacNeil in Walnut. LOL

Thanks in advance! :)

New Cordovan WebGems are online. Brown Cordovan Patriot, Brown Cordovan Park Avenue, Brown Cordovan Strand and Brown Cordovan Jefferson. I have a shell brown Patriot, shell black Park Avenue and shell brown Strand, and a calf Jefferson, not shell. I do love my Walnut calf Jeffersons.... It is self evident I must have the Jefferson in Cordovan. Just ordered!

I know Allen Edmonds makes the Wolverine 744.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a pair of them? Does the Shoe Bank or did they ever have them?

Any info is GREATLY appreciated!

If the timing of your trip is not aligned with a sale at the retail store you won't get the "best deal" per se but perhaps you can order what you like from the outlets ahead of time and have them shipped to an address you'll be staying in the US.

Thanks LeviMay!

I saw those on eBay, but I'm a 12. Well, I wear a 12 in the 1000 mile CXL ones.

I suppose I could go with an 11.5.

Did the Shoe Bank ever carry these? It was in my pre-shoebank days when they came out smile.gif

a friend of mine obtained a pair from them but they were pulled shortly after. I believe wolverine didn't want the seconds out there.

Any of you guys know what kind of insole the Cronmok has? I just got a pair and they are very different compared to my other AEs. Is it a poron insole? Same as the Brooks Brothers shoes?

Thanks

From my understanding bespoken pa is correct. Many were originally shipped to Neiman Marcus stores around the country. Leffot looks like they still have a few left but none in size 12. For my foot I went TTS on the 744's, I sized down a half size for the Wolverine Krause and to me they fit about the same. A few have sized down a half on the 744's to match their Original 1K size and said they fit the same but that would not work with my foot. Obviously it did for some others though. Wingtip purchased a lot of the 744's and still have a pretty full inventory according to the website. One of my favorite boots.
